Yellow coloured Kutch Handloom Dupatta in cotton 1
History is created by the forces of change and continuity working in their myriad ways. And at Bhujodi, a small village in Kutch, history has been created and preserved for more than 5 centuries by the weavers, the Vankars, who have nurtured weaving into an art form in Kutch.
The piece de resistance woven by the weavers here was not the only outcome of their looms, they also wove an entire community together. The deep colors, motifs such as the dhunki, chaumukhand, kungri -inspirations from their daily lives, and the richness of tradition and craftsmanship blend in each of their creations. If you are sensitive enough, you may even feel the touch of the hands, and the hum of loom. This dupatta has been hand woven by a master artisan in Kutch.
